With a "live service game" (fuck that term) the defined product doesn't need to be defined as they can "improve the service over time". It's just that if it wasn't a live service game, it would be a product with defined content that you buy for an agreeded price. It's not whether or not you want support for D4. That content could have been in the base game your paying but they piss on your head telling you it's raining. The game can be sustained for 2 years then an expension pack can be sold as we did for every game before corporate understood you can suckle on people's wallet for a couple of dollars a month releasing sub-par content for years. It will rake hundreds of millions of dollars.ĭiablo 3 sold only on PC 20 million copies at 60$ US each. It's a AAA title with one of the biggest IP in game history.
